Spotted Genet
visiting our campsite
The spotted genet is a nocturnal, omnivorous cat-like creature. The pictures show the large spotted pattern of its pelt. It has a long, furry, banded tail. The genet shown here is trying to steal the bread from our campsite, even though the bread is wrapped in a plastic packet. We first encountered it when some friends slept at our campsite with the tent flap open, and reported that a largish creature had nibbled their toes!
