Fijnbosch Farme for Sale

A unique opportunity

It is with regret that we have decided to sell our dream mountain property. We are pursuing other plans and now there is an opportunity for someone to take on this fabulous mountain retreat.

On 1000 hectares of rock and pristine fynbos there is a lot:

Our land has a wide variety of Mountain Fynbos. There are many raptors, including Black Eagles. Klipspringer live here, as well as duiker, vaal rhebok, dassies, porcupine and baboons. There are unspoiled Bushman paintings nearby and for most of the year mountain streams and pools. There are hiking trails and walks, caves, rock pools and two waterfalls.

There are several pairs of Black Eagles nesting in the area, and one breeding pair on our mountain itself. There are many other species of raptor and other birds including the rare Cape Eagle Owl. On a warm summer evening one can hear these owls and also the Freckled Nightjars calling in the hills. Over 85 different bird species have been spotted on the mountain.

Animals on Fijnbosch Farme

Small mountain wildlife, such as Klipspringer, Duiker, Vaal Rhebok, Dassie, Lynx, Aardwolf and Baboon is indigenous to this area. We have seen leopard spoor and one of our pickers had the hair-raising experience of encountering a leopard! The baboons are frequent visitors, and some nights while camping a spotted genet has probed our meat containers.
