A proudly South African herbal Liqueur in the tradition of the San and Afrikaner peoples of the Western Cape. This Brandy is distilled in the Western Cape, and a tincture of buchu made from it using fresh buchu (agathosma betulina) from Fijnbosch Farme. Buchu is a mild diuretic and also a mild urinary antiseptic, taken to stimulate kidney function and to treat mild cystitis and prostatitis. In small doses it is an appetite stimulant, and is a good digestive, carminative, and antispasmodic. It is a stimulant useful for hangovers, and is also used to treat colds and 'flu, coughs, rheumatism and gout.
